Manny's Demolition & Junk Removal

Junk Hauling and Pickup

Single items or a full trailer load, picked up and hauled away.

What this covers

  • single-item pickups
  • curbside loads already stacked
  • repeat hauling for ongoing clearouts
  • loads too big for a pickup and too small to be worth a dumpster

Not part of this job

We don't handle paint, fuel, propane tanks and chemicals, which need a household hazardous waste collection rather than a trailer.

Before Household junk stacked on a concrete driveway against a wood privacy fence: black bags, plastic totes, buckets, rolled carpet, a hand truck and wheeled trash cans.

After The same driveway swept clear against the same wood fence, with nothing left on the concrete.

What this job is actually like

Hauling is the simplest version of this work. The load already exists, often already stacked, and the job is getting it onto a trailer and away. The economics are worth understanding though. Every trip carries a fixed cost regardless of how full the trailer is, because the fuel, the drive and the disposal fee at the other end don't scale down for a small load. That's why a single item from a nearby town is straightforward and the same item from thirty miles out needs a conversation. It's also why one visit that clears everything beats three visits that each clear a corner of it.

Worth sorting out before the day

  • If more junk is coming, wait and send it all at once. One visit costs less than three.
  • Stack it somewhere a truck and trailer can actually reach. A hundred-foot carry takes longer than the loading.
  • Pull the paint, fuel and chemicals out of the pile first. One can of solvent holds up an otherwise ordinary load.
  • Curbside loads are the quickest thing we do, so if it's already at the road, say so.

How the job runs

Point at the pile. We load it, and it goes.

What moves the price

  • volume
  • weight
  • distance from Rome
  • how many trips it takes

Common questions

Is there a minimum?

Single items are worth a call. A small job still means a trailer, fuel and a disposal fee at the other end, so ask and we'll tell you straight.

Can you take it if I'm not home?

Yes, as long as the load is accessible and the price is agreed beforehand.

Does it have to be at the curb?

No. Curbside is quicker, and quicker usually costs less, but the back yard, the basement and the top of the driveway are all normal.
