Manny's Demolition & Junk Removal

Estate Cleanouts

Whole-property cleanouts handled carefully, usually on a deadline nobody chose.

What this covers

  • full house contents
  • garages, sheds and outbuildings
  • attics and crawlspaces
  • coordinating around what the family is keeping

Not part of this job

We don't handle anything with a title. The car in the garage and the boat under the tarp go through a salvage buyer instead.

Room cleared to a bare hardwood floor, with a mop leaning by the door frame and dark marks on the boards where a pile had been stacked.

What this job is actually like

These jobs are rarely about volume. They're about doing things in the right order, under a deadline that arrived at a bad time. Contents get sorted rather than swept, because paperwork, photographs and small valuables surface constantly and can't be recovered once they're gone. Walking the property first and marking what stays makes everything after it easier, since decisions made in advance are much simpler than decisions made while a room is being emptied. If there's genuine value in the contents, have it appraised or sold before a cleanout starts. Hauling and valuation are separate trades and we only do one of them.

Worth sorting out before the day

  • Look for documents, deeds and policies before anything moves. That search gets much harder once a room is empty.
  • Have anything you think is worth money valued first. A hauler isn't an appraiser.
  • Tell us the closing or probate date early, so the work can be scheduled backward from it.
  • Get the family agreed on what's being kept before the day, not during it.

How the job runs

We walk the property with you and mark what stays. Then we price the rest. The work goes in passes, so anything that surfaces gets set aside instead of lost.

What moves the price

  • the size of the property
  • how much is staying versus going
  • access and how many stairs are involved
  • total weight

Estimates are free, and you get the number before anything starts.

What an estate cleanout costs in Georgia goes through what moves the number on that job, and what tends to be underestimated.

Common questions

What if we find something we want to keep partway through?

Say so and it gets set aside. Working in passes rather than one sweep exists for exactly that.

How fast can this happen?

Probate and closing dates drive most of these. Tell us the deadline and we'll tell you straight whether it's doable.

Do you sell anything of value?

No. We haul. If there's real value in the contents, sell it or have it appraised before the cleanout starts.

Where this is available

We cover estate cleanouts across the whole service area, from Floyd County out to about fifty miles. How quickly we can get to you depends mostly on the distance, so the closer towns tend to be same-day or next-day and the far edge gets scheduled.
