Not part of this job

We don't handle paint, fuel, propane tanks or chemicals, so keep those out of the trailer and we'll tell you where they go.

What this job is actually like

A dump trailer suits people who would rather do the loading themselves and want the disposal handled. Compared with a roll-off container it's smaller and needs far less room to place, which matters a lot on the narrow drives common in the mill villages around here. Two things decide whether it works for you: how long you need it, and what goes in it. The weight of the finished load drives the disposal cost, so what goes in matters more than how high it gets piled. A trailer of cardboard and old furniture and a trailer of tile and broken concrete are the same trailer and nothing like the same job. Loading is also harder work than it looks from the driveway, and it's worth being honest with yourself about how much of it you actually want to lift before you choose this over having us load it.

Worth sorting out before the day

  • Check there's room to drop it, and room to pull it out once it's full.
  • Spread the heavy material through the load. Concrete and shingles hit the weight limit long before the trailer looks full.
  • Think about the weather while it sits. A trailer of drywall and cardboard is a great deal heavier after a wet night, and the weight is what the disposal costs follow.
  • Book the drop-off and the pickup in the same conversation. Knowing roughly when you'll be finished is what keeps a full trailer from sitting in the driveway an extra week.

How the job runs

We drop it where you want it, access permitting. You fill it at your own pace. We come back for it and handle the disposal.

What moves the price

  • how long you keep it
  • weight of the finished load
  • delivery distance from Rome
  • what is in it, since some material costs more to dispose of

Common questions

How is this different from a roll-off dumpster?

A dump trailer is smaller and needs less room to place. On a tight driveway it often fits where a roll-off simply can't.

How long can I keep it?

Depends on scheduling. Agree the window when you book.

What can't go in it?

Nothing hazardous and nothing with a title. Paint, fuel, propane tanks, solvents and chemicals need a household hazardous waste collection, and a car, a boat or a camper needs a salvage buyer. Past those two, it's a question of weight rather than kind. A trailer filling with concrete, tile or wet drywall reaches its limit a long way before it looks full, so say what's going in it when you book and we'll tell you whether one trailer covers the job.

Where this is available

We cover dump trailer rental across the whole service area, from Floyd County out to about fifty miles. How quickly we can get to you depends mostly on the distance, so the closer towns tend to be same-day or next-day and the far edge gets scheduled.
